Local Democracy Agency Zavidovici has recently sent it’s first EVS volunteer, Edin Fazlic, to a volunteering project in Croatia. The organisation has been accredited since 2009 as a sending, coordinating and hosting organisation in European Comission programme European voluntary service – EVS, which is a part of Youth in action platform. The host of this EVS project is Eco Centre Latinovac.
The LDA has previously hosted total of 6 EVS volunteers in it’s Zavidovici office, and this is the first time it acts as a sending organisation. There are plans for both sending and hosting more volunteers in different EVS projects in the next year.
Edin Fazlic from Zavidovici is taking part in the project “Sustainability of Camp Livadak and Greenway Network Development”, that taks place in the village of Latinovac situated in the Čaglin Country in Croatia. During 3 month period a group of EVS volunteers composed of 3 volunteers from Bulgaria and 1 volunteer from Bosnia and Herzegovina together with Croatian volunteers and two EVS volunteers from Greece will weave together a sustainable future of the Kamp Livadak project and encourage rural tourism through development of local network of cycling green routes. Themes of the camp are: rural development, environment, art and culture, developing solidarity, promotion of tolerance among young people, fostering social cohesion through sustainable volunteerism. The goals of the camp are empowerment of young people, active development of rural community, culture of peace and tolerance, experiencing other cultures, and promoting volunteerism.
LDA Zavidovici is hoping that this positive practice will stay accepted in our community in the future, as it is a great opportunity for young people to travel and meet different cultures and lifestyles.

ALD ZAVIDOVIĆI POSLALA EVS VOLONTERA U HRVATSKU
